Post-vax biomarkers -- it is not psychosomatic!
It has been obvious for years that the research into people who are post-COVID-vax injured would hold valuable insights for Long Covid, MECFS, POTS and many others who have also been suffering for years with similar symptoms -- even long before Covid ever came along!
Note:
It took years for researchers to get past the stigma and finally start doing some real research on this subgroup of what could be called a post-viral injury (PVI), but it is not always viral... so a bigger umbrella would be Post-inflammatory-Injury (PII) or Post-Trauma-Injury, PTI or Post-Trauma-Syndrome PTS. I like the PTS term since it is more inclusive, but it is important to highlight the fact that "Trauma" here is being meant in the most broad sense of anything that causes inflammation can trigger this syndrome which I consider to be a kind to mTBI (minor Traumatic Brain Injury) since the end result is similar physiologically in the brain.
The Tide Has Begun to Turn:
Recently, Yale published a preprint on vaccine injury showing that this subgroup responded differently to the vaccine, that the body appears to make spike proteins many months after the vaccine, and that the lack of nucleocapsid defences shows that the injury is not caused by an acute infection.This led to lots of misinterpretations and some crazy allegations. But as Dr Been mentions in his video, these conspiracy theories are detrimental and the available data is alarming enough. The science has been delayed in part by conspiracy theories and people making mistaken conclusions.
The Biomarkers
The new study out of Germany gives a list of clear biomarkers. This research has two important findings: Both those who are suffering PVI... AND in those who received the vax, but did not have any symptoms show clear biomarker changes. The changes in the "healthy" cohort show how the body has adapted to the immune changes... even after 6 months.
Dr Been gives a great summary of the results and what some of this can signify so I will not get into the details but it is quite convincing and the results line up with what might be expected now that we know how the virus, and the spike specifically, can affect our bodies.
